Leadership

An American company built by an Afghan-American family.

Oxus Resource Development Group is directed by American citizens of Afghan heritage. Its leadership combines U.S. education, residence, and commercial standards with direct cultural understanding of the market the Company serves.

Leadership philosophy

Two forms of knowledge, applied to the same problem.

Oxus Resource Development Group is a United States company. Its leadership is American, educated and resident in the United States, and operates to the governance, documentation, and commercial standards expected of a U.S.-registered enterprise engaging international suppliers, financial institutions, and insurers.

Its leadership is also of Afghan heritage, with direct family and community connection to the market the Company serves. That combination is deliberate. International procurement into the Afghan market requires both familiarity with recognized commercial practice and a realistic understanding of conditions on the ground. Enterprises possessing only one of the two tend to encounter difficulty — either through unfamiliarity with international standards, or through assumptions that do not survive contact with the market.

The Company treats these as complementary capabilities rather than competing identities, and regards both as necessary to the responsible conduct of its business.

Portrait of Attaullah Sadiq

Founder & Chairman

Attaullah Sadiq

Attaullah Sadiq is an Afghan-American entrepreneur and community leader, and the Founder and Chairman of Oxus Resource Development Group. He was born in Afghanistan, moved to the United States at approximately fifteen years of age, and has spent most of his life here.

He attended T.C. Williams High School in Alexandria, Virginia, and has maintained a longstanding presence in the Afghan-American community of Northern Virginia and the greater Washington, D.C. region. Over many years he has contributed where he could to community-building activities, small-scale humanitarian initiatives, public discussions, and cooperation involving U.S.-based organizations, non-governmental organizations, international aid efforts, and Afghan communities. These efforts were modest in scale, but meaningful to the people and communities they reached.

That experience shaped a conviction that now sits at the center of the Company's strategy: responsible commerce, conducted to professional standards, can create broader and more durable economic opportunity than isolated assistance alone. Enterprises that operate reliably over time generate recurring employment, develop professional expertise, attract investment, and build the institutional capability on which sustained commercial activity depends.

Through Oxus Resource Development Group, Mr. Sadiq is working to translate a longstanding commitment to the Afghan-American community into commercial development capable of benefiting the people of Afghanistan and the wider Afghan diaspora. He directs the Company's strategic development, governance approach, and long-term commercial planning.

Next-generation leadership

American education, Afghan heritage, long-term commitment.

Oxus Resource Development Group is built as a multi-generational institution. Its next generation of leadership was born and raised in the United States and brings both American professional formation and direct connection to the Afghan diaspora.
